It's never lost on me that there's a community-building aspect to what we do here at Winkelman Building Corp. And I mean that beyond the fact that we create buildings,
Manufacturing Facilities Support Community
When we build a manufacturing facility so that a local company can expand its operations, that new structure means a lot of things to a lot of people. For starters, more people can access those products and more people are hired to keep up with demand. If a business is able to expand, it creates a boom in the local economy.
Education Buildings Support Community
When a school referendum passes and we're fortunate enough to work on the new build,
there's more to it than logistics,
Things like natural light and good oxygen quality make a difference in a child's day-to-day life. And having facilities that are designed to be conducive to learning can help more children access quality education.
Winkelman Employees Support Youth Activities
Beyond the correlation between the work we do and the communities we serve, numerous Winkelman Building Corp. staff members coach area youth athletics:
- Andy Auger, our Executive Vice President and CFO, is the Defensive Coordinator for the Cathedral High School football team.
- Tom Bruce, our Vice President of Design/Build Services, is the Assistant Hockey Coach for Cathedral High School.
- Robbie Shultz, our Senior Project Manager, coaches Sartell youth hockey.
- Matt Knutson, our Estimator, coaches St. Cloud youth hockey.
